Courses can be catered or self-catered as required. The food is good with a variety
of freshly produced home cooking, including vegetarian menus. A barbeque is also available.

Surrounding Area
East Down is set in its own 18 acres amid farming country. It is on the edge of the
Dartmoor National Park, overlooking the Teign River Gorge and Dartmoor. The Centre
is in a wonderful position with stunning views and an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
At the foot of the hill, below the Centre, lies Bridesmere, a beautiful small lake
fed by streams; a tranquil spot often available for picnics and meditation.
Should you feel the need of a contrasted, urban element, Exeter is not far away. A
cathedral city, compact; providing the possibility of interesting visits including
the Cathedral and the old quay.
Also nearby is Dartmoor National Park, with its high moorlands, woodland hillsides,
beautiful valleys, rugged tors, ideal for walking and enjoying the outdoors. There
are also many cycle routes in and around the area. |
